Abstract

The total workforce in August 2022 was 23,202 people, an increase of 709 people compared to August 2021. In line with the increase in the total workforce, the Labor Force Participation Rate (TPAK) also increased by 2.23 percent to 71.64 percent.
The August 2022 Open Unemployment Rate (TPT) was 2.15 percent, an increase of 0.88 percentage points to 2.15 percent compared to August 2021.
The working population is 22,704 people, an increase of 576 people compared to August 2021. Jobs that have experienced an increase are in the services sector by 13.50 percent and the manufacturing sector by 5.21 percent. Meanwhile, the sector that experienced a decline was the agricultural sector by 19.46 percent.
A total of 12,682 people (55.86 percent) work in the informal sector, up 3.16 percentage points compared to August 2021.
