Abstract

It is time for human development to be given more attention. In contrast to economic development whose impacts can be directly felt by the community, human development places more emphasis on future investment. The results are not immediately felt, but the success of human development will indirectly spur economic growth in the future. Investments in education and health will produce a generation that is resilient to face the challenges of the future.The Anambas Islands Human Development Index (HDI) in 2019 was 68.48 when compared to 67.53 in 2018, the HDI of Kepulauan Anambas Regency has increased. The life expectancy rate, the expected length of schooling, the average length of schooling and the purchasing power of the KepulauanAnambas community show that the figure is below the Kepulauan Riau Province.
